It's called a HOMECOMING!

Here's a message from Ate P.I. sent 16 January 2008, at 22:26

Guys, good pm. :)
Asking us all to call our event HOMECOMING rather than OJ. So that we don't create a picture of heavy ministry activity especially to the alumni.

Thanks po. :)

Minutes of the Meeting Held January 13, 2008

I was supposed to make a formal report, chuva.. but I lost some of my English... somewhere, so I thought I'll just share what happened as my brain and limited vocabulary ekes it out.

So,
First there was Ate P.I., who started asking how everybody was -- and ended up calling a meeting. So then there was Kuya Aboy, Kuya Smile with pretty girlfriend Michelle, Dred, and Eleonor.
7:30 pm, Taco Bell, ground floor of Gateway, Cubao.

Dito ko sa meeting na to narealize that a CCC meeting can take milleniums to end. Nagsara na ang Taco Bell at lahat, hindi pa pala kami tapos.

Anyway,
It turned out there was also a meeting that happened during Shelby's wedding [which, much to Kuya Aboy's frustration towards himself] didn't get to be disseminated.

There really wasn't much of an agenda. Except to talk about the reunion... which was a lot.

We started with what was talked about during Shelby's wedding:
A suggestion came up for the Alumni to lead an OJ (that's Operation Jabez - somebody explain what this was originally meant to be. Basta evangelism. Or am I the only one around here who's having trouble explaining what it is. Hehe).

Everybody, or probably everybody who was there agreed to it. The plan was for this OJ to be similar to that of OJ Baggao - "wholistic" pero di pa rin nawawala ang gospel. Alumni of similar backgrounds were supposed to meet together to come up with some form of service related to their expertise that they can give to the community. Para may "relevance" at di lang Bible sharing.
The question during that time was: Are students to be involved?

With that question, this is where the new set of brainstormed ideas, arguments, and decisions for that night started.
As a summary, before the nitty gritty, the following were the tentative agreements that were made on January 13 regarding the reunion:
1. Conduct an activity that is OJ and rest at the same time (Off yung grammar, pero naiintindihan nyo naman siguro).
2. The Alumni will lead the said activity.
3. Involve student multipliers who are able to raise support in time for the activity.
4. The activity will basically be a medical mission plus other activities.
5. The activity will be conducted on Holy Week 2008, for five days.

Here's the nitty gritty:
On the involvement of students:
1. Student involvement in the activity will address purposes of transferability and modeling which will also be very beneficial to the students. Having core leaders or multipliers as part of the activity will also be an opportunity for them to be taught, which they would in turn re-echo in their campuses.
